<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the image quality and to reduce the cost by arranging a photosensitive drum and a developing sleeve with a high precision closely to each other by a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: A rotary developing device has a plurality of developing units provided with a plurality of developing sleeves, and each developing unit is so supported that it can be slid on a turning body in a direction of an image carrier, and each developing unit is provided with; a control part for controlling a distance between a developer carrier and the image carrier to a prescribed value; a position control member provided with a control part for controlling the distance between the developer carrier and the image carrier to such value that they don't interfere with each other when turning the turning body; and an energizing means for energizing the developing unit in a direction of the position control member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
