摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device by which an access from the BCA area of the innermost circumference of a disk to a System Lead-in Area can be exactly performed. <P>SOLUTION: An optical head is moved to the innermost circumferential area of the optical disk (ST403), the frequency of a reproducing signal supplied from the optical head is measured by a wave detecting circuit 423 while the optical head is moved to an outer circumference side (ST008), tracking servo is started (ST010) when the frequency of the reproducing signal is changed into a high frequency, and the reproducing signal is analyzed to obtain position information while the tracking servo operates (ST012).
