<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescence display in which the step between an organic thin film layer and a lower electrode is reduced, the taper angle on a surface of a substrate is eased, and the defect of the device can be prevented. <P>SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescence display is provided with: an insulating substrate having a thin film transistor equipped at least with source/drain electrodes; the lower electrode which is formed on the insulating substrate and is connected to one electrode out of the source/drain electrodes; an insulating film having an opening part which exposes a portion of the lower electrode; an organic thin film layer formed on the lower electrode; and an upper electrode formed on the organic thin film layer. The insulating film has a taper angle of 40°or below at an edge of the opening, and a step between the lower electrode and the organic thin film layer is 3000 Å or below. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
