<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an image forming apparatus small-sized while facilitating attachment and detachment of an image forming unit to and from the image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A paper discharge part 116 has a rotary shaft 18 disposed above a rotary developing unit 38 and a turning part 120 which is supported in a freely openable and closable manner around the rotary shaft 118 as an axis with respect to the paper discharge part 116, and sheets of paper which are discharged from a discharge opening 28 are mounted on the paper discharge part. An opening/closing part 114 provided on the front side (right side in Fig.) of an image forming apparatus body 12 moves to the front side of the image forming apparatus 10 and the turning part 120 provided above the image forming apparatus body 12 moves onto the image forming apparatus 10 to open the whole opening part 102. When the whole opening part 102 is opened, a fixing device 90 and the paper discharge part 116 having a tilt part 36 are moved outside a route where the image forming unit 96 moves when detached. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
