<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic music device which always correctly executes processing requiring the time though not provided with a backup power source for an internal clock. <P>SOLUTION: When the device is started or processing requiring the time is executed, time information is acquired from the outside, and such control is performed that the internal clock is correctly operated on the basis of the acquired time information. Though the correct time cannot be held without a backup power source for the internal clock because the internal clock stops the time counting operation, the time of the internal clock is set on the basis of time information acquired from the outside when starting the device or executing processing requiring the time.
