PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk cartridge which can reliably open or close the opening in a simple configuration by preventing its coming off from the drive components of the disk drive. SOLUTION: It has an upper shell, a lower shell 1 which has a 1st opening 8 to expose the disk 6, a center shell 3 which has a 2nd opening to expose the disk and partly opens or closes the 1st opening 8, and shutters 4, 5 linked to the turn of the center shell 3 to partly open or close the 1st opening 8. The center shell 3 has a drive section 31. An angleαbetween the 1st straight line 13 connecting the drive start point P and the rotation center 30 of the center shell 3 and the 2nd straight line 14 passing the rotation center 30 of the center shell 3 and extending in the loading and unloading direction of the disk cartridge is approximately 1/2 of the whole rotation angleθof the 1st straight line 13 following the rotation of the center shell 3 around the rotation center 30.
