PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus capable of informing a user who provides an image file about whether or not a time limit set to each image file expires. SOLUTION: The time limit is respectively set to each file provided via a LAN and stored in file information DB 21b of a storage section 21. A control section 10 properly discriminates whether the time limit set to each image file expires on the basis of a time indicated by a timer 10a, and when the discrimination indicates that the time limit expires, a state of time limit of a corresponding image file in the file information DB 21b is changed into "expiration". Further, the control section 10 provides file information denoting the state of time limit of each image file to a user for requesting an image file via the LAN, and each user can select an image file desired by its own by referencing the state of time limit of each image file denoted by the file information.
