PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator with a function of sanitizing refrigerator compartments that is sanitary by improving a soil removal effect. SOLUTION: In the refrigerator, compartment shelves 7 for each compartment and door shelves 8 for each compartment are coated with a hydrophilic coating 10 comprising a titanium phosphate compound. Even if an oily liquid seasoning stored in the compartment is spilled, the soil can be easily wiped away with a wet cloth.
