PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small defogging device for removing fog from a window glass in a short time by blowing low-humidity hot air against the window glass in a short time after starting operation. SOLUTION: The defogging device comprises a defogging device body 11 which has a blower 13, a dehumidifying part for dehumidifying air blown by the dehumidifying blower with adsorbing operation, an air outlet 15 from which the air after dehumidified is blown against the glass, a heating part for heating the dehumidifying part, and an exhaust port 17 opened to others than the glass. The heating part is operated for desorption of vapor from the dehumidifying part to regenerate the dehumidifying part, and the vapor after desorption is exhausted from the exhaust port 17. The blower is operated for blowing air from the air outlet 15 against the glass. The air fed from the blower to the dehumidifying part has lower humidity due to vapor adsorption and becomes dry hot air with its temperature increased by heat of adsorption to evaporate moisture forming dew condensation and fog on the glass.
