PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an angular contact ball bearing used for oil lubrication capable of suppressing heat generation by facilitating exhaust of lubricating oil between a retainer and an outer ring. SOLUTION: The angular contact ball bearing 1 includes a shoulder part A, which is adjacent to a raceway surface 3a on an inner diameter surface on a back surface side from the raceway surface 3a of the outer ring 3, and is formed in a tapered surface 3b with an outer ring end surface side of a larger diameter. Thereby, a clearance (a) with the retainer 5 on the back surface side of the outer ring 3 is enlarged to facilitate the exhaust of the lubricating oil from the clearance (a).
