摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuously variable transmission capable of keeping a distance between a fixed sheave and a movable sheave unchanged according to use frequency and always maintaining the maximum reduction gear ratio of a main power transmission route at a reduction gear ratio equal to or less than the reduction gear ratio of an auxiliary power transmission route. SOLUTION: This continuously variable transmission comprises the main power transmission route steplessly changing the rotation of an input sheave shaft 18 and transmitting it to an output sheave shaft 44 through belts 60 wrapped around across a pair of input sheaves 52 mounted on an input sheave shaft 18 and a pair of output sheaves 58 mounted on an output sheave shaft 44 and the auxiliary power transmission route transmitting the rotation of the input sheave shaft 18 to the output sheave shaft 44 through gears. The transmission comprises a stroke restricting means 49 with wear resistance for restricting a minimum clearance between an output fixed sheave 46 and an output movable sheave 48 forming an output sheave 58 so that the maximum reduction gear ratio of the main power transmission route is equal to or smaller than the reduction gear ratio of the auxiliary power transmission route.
