PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outer cable type arch member for using a new floor slab or a girder which bear the elongation of a span. SOLUTION: An outer cable slab 30 has an arch structure only in a lower surface and a flat in an upper surface, thus cars or the like can travel as it is. Since it has the arch structure, when load acts on the upper surface, compression force works to the inside of the outer cable slab 30 and resists. This compression force is transferred to both ends of the outer cable slab 30, and vertical force and horizontal force to broaden a span between fulcrums act on the fulcrums. This horizontal force is received by the reaction force of an outer cable 12. When a horizontal reaction force is secured, the arch structure exerts a large yield strength as compared with a beam structure which causes compression stress on the upper surface and tensile stress on the lower surface. A cable is made not to be an inner cable arranged along an arch surface but to be an outer cable 12 which is linearly stretched, thus tensile force to act on an upper edge of a crown part of the outer cable slab 30 and compression force to act on a lower edge thereof can be controlled.
