PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote monitoring device for an elevator, capable of properly grasping exchange timing of an image recording device of a security camera in an elevator car. SOLUTION: An exchange signal output means 26 is provided, which outputs an image recording device exchange signal to a controlling center 4 in order to exchange the image recording device 17 for recording an image of the security camera 16 provided in the car when both measured values of an emergency stop measuring means 24 and a start shock measuring means 25 exceed specified numerical values.
