PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat slide device which realizes simplification of structure and reliability on actuation inexpensively. SOLUTION: Since an engaging part 61 is provided on the other end 6b near a seat rear end of a lock lever 6, an acting part 91 of a kick plate 9 is engaged with the engaging part 61, and this kick plate 9 is pull-operated by a walk-in operation cable 10 disposed on the seat 31 side, the cost can be reduced by shortening the necessary length of the walk-in operation cable 10, and the simplification of the structure is enhanced by improving the flexibility relative to the displacement design of the operation cable 10. Since it is the constitution which actuates a lock plate 5 through the lock lever 6 in both a first operation mode and a second operation mode, the cost is reduced by reducing the number of parts. Moreover, the seat slide device has the structure where the lock plate 5, the lock lever 6, and the kick plate 9 are separated, and has high responsiveness for locking. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
