PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for reinforcing a side part of a car body of a one-box type automobile capable of preventing a door opening of a car body from deforming when the vehicle collides in a head thereof. SOLUTION: In this one-box type automobile, a pillar P2 is provided along a rear edge of the door opening 1 provided in each of side parts of the car body, and a reinforcing door beam 3 is provided fore and aft inside the door 2 for opening/closing the door opening 1, and a side wall part 4 provided in rear of the pillar P2 and formed of an outer panel 4a and an inner panel 4b is provided with a window opening 5 formed by connecting the outer panel 4a to the inner panel 4b with a peripheral window frame part 41. A reinforcing member 6 for connecting the pillar P2 to the window frame part 41 in the back and forth direction is provided inside the side wall part 4, and when the vehicle collides in a head thereof and an input for deforming the pillar P2 backward is applied through the door beam 3 of the door 2, the reinforcing member 6 and the window frame part 41 support the pillar P2 from rear thereof.
