PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speaker system by which a crew member sitting on every seat can listen music etc. emitted from the sound source individually selected by the crew member with excellent sound quality, while suppressing the sound leakage toward surroundings. SOLUTION: The speaker system is composed of units 10R, 10L attached to head rest rods 5, 6 for supporting a head rest 4. Played-back sound emitted from a speaker 13 is reflected to a side and is emitted from an emitting aperture portion 24 opened so as to face the ears of the crew member M by means of a main reflector 21 and a side reflector 22 arranged to the aperture portion of a housing 12 of a speaker unit 14. When the speaker system is not used or in other cases, the reflectors 21, 22 are stored in the housing 12 in order to reduce its size. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
