PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for introducing an SF<SB>5</SB>group into an organic compound. SOLUTION: A method for producing a compound represented by formula (2) comprises condensing SF<SB>5</SB>Br in a terminal alkene represented by formula (1) and then reacting the terminal alkene with SF<SB>3</SB>-Br in a liquid phase condition, thereby adding an SF<SB>5</SB>group to the terminal alkene, wherein R' and R" each independently denote H or a 1-20C alkyl group.
