PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection method of characteristics fluctuation of a packed battery capable of more accurately detecting fluctuation, as to one used in a hybrid vehicle. SOLUTION: In the method of characteristics fluctuation of the packed battery 501 constituted of a plurality of serially connected cells, a first step of judging whether a state of charging/discharging of the packed battery satisfies given conditions, a second step of carrying out deep discharging and deep charging at least twice, and a third step of further carrying out discharging to detect characteristics fluctuation of the packed battery, are executed.
