<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate an uneven state of hydrogen and air inside an anode in starting and suppress deterioration of an electrolyte membrane caused by carbon poisoning. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel cell system is equipped with a fuel cell stack 1, a hydrogen purge valve 12 exhausting gas exhausted from an anode 1a outlet of the fuel cell stack 1 to the outside, a hydrogen circulation passage 9 circulating part of exhaust gas exhausted from the anode 1a outlet of the fuel cell stack 1 to an anode 1a inlet of the fuel cell stack 1, a load 13 for controlling the output voltage of the fuel cell stack 1 in a desirable range by absorbing electric power of the fuel cell stack 1 in starting, and a conroller 15 controlling the operation of the whole fuel cell system. The controller 15 controls the concentration of hydrogen supplied to the anode 1a of the fuel cell stack 1 so as to gradually rise in starting. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
