<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent voltage drop caused by temperature rising delay of end cells and especially enhance low temperature starting characteristics in simple and economical constitution. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel cell stack 10 has a stack 14 formed by stacking a plurality of power generating cells 12, and a short circuit cell 18 is installed through terminal plates 16a, 16b at both ends in the stacking direction of the stack 14. A reaction gas supply mechanism 60 is equipped with a fuel gas supply means 64 for supplying fuel gas to each power generating cell 12, a fuel gas supply means 66 for the short circuit cell for supplying fuel gas to the short circuit cell 18 independent of the power generating cells 12, and an oxidant gas supply means 68 for supplying oxidant gas to the power generating cells 12 and the short circuit cell 18. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
