摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for improving a power generation characteristic of a solid polymer electrolyte type fuel cell (PEFC) by efficiently supplying a reaction gas to a catalyst in a catalyst layer. <P>SOLUTION: By improving a manufacturing method of the catalyst layer, the power generation characteristic of the PEFC is improved. Specifically, the power generation characteristic of the PEFC is improved by improving this manufacturing method of a catalyst layer for a solid polymer electrolyte type fuel cell comprising: a step for mixing a carbon material with a catalyst supported with a solid polymer electrolyte in a liquid dispersion medium to obtain slurry; a step for removing the liquid dispersion medium from the slurry to obtain a first powder mixture containing the carbon material with the catalyst supported and the solid polymer electrolyte; a step for dry-mixing the first powder mixture with the powder of the solid polymer electrolyte to obtain a second powder mixture; and a step for dry-applying the second powder mixture to form the catalyst layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
