<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of a spark when the fuel cell is short-circuited, and to increase freedom of system layout. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell stack 2 comprises a short circuit passage 6 for short-circuiting fuel cells constituting the fuel cell stack 2 in accordance with introduction of a short-circuiting liquid from a liquid tank for short-circuiting 14. Thereby, when the fuel cell is short-circuited in order to prevent generation of a sintering phenomenon of catalyst at the starting and stopping, generation of a spark can be prevented. Further, since the short-circuiting liquid absorbs heat generated at the short-circuiting, a system for countermeasure of sparks and heat is not required and freedom of system layout can be increased. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
