<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery in which a reversible charge and discharge reaction is carried out, superior cycle performance and charge and discharge efficiency can be obtained, and realization of high-capacity and high-energy density is possible. <P>SOLUTION: A positive electrode includes a positive electrode active material in which sulfur single material, a conductive agent, and a binding agent are mixed. As for a negative electrode, carbon material of graphite or the like, silicon, lithium metal, lithium alloy or the like which are capable of storing and releasing lithium are used. The non-aqueous electrolyte contains a first solvent composed of at least one kind selected from a group of cyclic ether and aliphatic ether, and contains a second solvent composed of a normal temperature fused salt of which melting point is 60°C or less by the volume ratio of 0.1:99.9 to 40:60, and contains lithium polysulfide in a saturated state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
