PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric component which can reduce the torque of operating physical force at the time of rotation of the component by reducing generation of friction between a bearing part (a cylindrical body) and a rotary body (an axial part) as little as possible at the time of rotation of the rotary body. SOLUTION: The rotary electric component is equipped with a housing 1 having the bearing part 1c arranged so as to stand in the center in a cylindrical shape, a rotary member 4 having a cylindrical rotary part 4b which is rotatably engaged in the bearing part 1c, a signal detecting means for outputting an electric signal accompanying the rotation of the rotary member 4, and an inclined part 1d which is composed of a slope and formed on an engaging face between the bearing part 1c and the cylindrical rotary part 4b. Engaging faces of the bearing part 1c and the cylindrical rotary part 4b are oppositely disposed at a predetermined angle to each other. When the rotary member 4 rotates, the engaging faces of the bearing part 1c and the cylindrical rotary part 4b are made to partly slide to each other by the inclined part 1d when the rotary member 4 rotates.
