PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a novel adhesive composition, not causing scattering of paste and surface spots when high speed coating is carried out. SOLUTION: This adhesive composition, not causing scattering of paste in high speed coating, is obtained by adding 0.1 to 10 pts.mass of a surfactant to 100 pts.mass of a vinyl acetate adhesive and/or an ethylene/vinyl acetate adhesive.
