PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manage the decrease of the stock of each merchandise item displayed on a merchandise display shelf on real time without applying a radio tag on each merchandise item. SOLUTION: A radio tag 4 is applied to a merchandise display shelf 1 in a way that it changes its inclination angle against the merchandise display surface of such shelf according to the increasing and decreasing of the number of stock of a merchandise item 7 displayed on the merchandise display shelf 1. An antenna 6 is fixed to the merchandise display shelf 1 in a way that it switches a readiness for communication to an unreadiness for communication with the radio tag 4 depending on the inclination angle of the radio tag 4 against the merchandise display surface. The stock of the merchandise item 7 displayed on the merchandise display shelf 1 is managed by the state of communication between the antenna 6 and the radio tag 4. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
