PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize effective protection of a rod tube, to further promote prevention of falling off of a butt plug and to carry out simple and easy mounting and demounting of the butt plug. SOLUTION: A fishing rod is composed as follows. An elastic member 177 is freely arranged in a butt plug body 171 of the butt plug 17 screwed on the butt side of the butt rod tube 11 and mounted thereon.
