FIELD: plastic working of metals, possibly manufacture of self-locking flanged nuts. ^ SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of cutting off initial blank with round cross section, aligning its ends, pressing out hexahedron, preliminarily and finally forming flange, punching opening for threading. Diameter value of initial blank is selected according to given relation. In second position thin-wall cylinder is pressed out in floating die on one end of blank. Other end of lank is subjected to upsetting till diameter of described circle of hexahedron. In third position flange is preliminarily shaped and hexahedron is pressed out while keeping dimensions of formed beforehand thin-wall cylinder. Opening for threading is punched in floating die in last position. ^ EFFECT: high-quality filling with metal of hexahedron and flange, improved strength of die set fitting. ^ 1 dwg |
