FIELD: thermal treatment of metals. ^ SUBSTANCE: assembly can be used in devices for through thermal treatment of steel long-sized items, for example, bundles of moving steel wire, strips and bars. Wire is subject to induction heating in unit I till achieving intermediate temperature which is supposed to be not higher than Curie point, which equals approximately to 715-730°C depending on chemical composition of steel. Wire is subject to additional heating (not higher than till 1200°) or cooling in unit II till achieving required temperature at which temperature the strength and microstructure of wire meets the requirements. Wire is subject to controlled heating in unit III. Speed of cooling is regulated by means thermostat caps (13) which allow changing time of existence of bars inside thermostat and in open air and provide preset mode of cooling. ^ EFFECT: improved strength; improved physical and mechanical indexes. ^ 7 cl, 1 dwg |
