The device has a set of cross bars (6) with fixing units fixed transversally in a trunk of a commercial vehicle. Orthogonal bars (10) are provided, where each is adjustably mounted between one cross bar and a transversal groove tread (13) at holding positions such that transversal positions of the bars (10) are chosen from the holding positions. The treads are formed in either or on both front and rear walls that form the trunk.
