The body part e.g. tailgate (6), has twelve blades (8), each having a steel layer (12) visible from an outer side of the tailgate. The blades are connected with each other to form a single part. Two longitudinal edges (16) are extended along two respective ends of the blades. Each edge is smooth and has a thickness less than that of the blades. The tailgate is folded under a roof of the vehicle for accessing interior of the vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a method of fabrication of a tailgate of a motor vehicle.
