<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording disk wherein data constituted of recording mark columns containing recording marks and blank regions between the recording marks adjacent to each other is recorded and reproduced even when the length of the recording mark and the length of the blank region are shorter than that of the resolution limit, recording capacity is increased and reproducing durability is enhanced. <P>SOLUTION: The optical recording disk comprises a laminated body wherein a decomposition reaction layer 8 containing a noble metal oxide as a main component, a dielectric layer 7 consisting essentially of a dielectric material containing sulfur, an intermediate layer 6 consisting essentially of a dielectric material containing an element other than sulfur as a main component or containing sulfur whose content is lower than the content of sulfur contained in the dielectric layer 7, and a light absorption layer 5 are successively laminated.
