<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag door opening structure of an automobile which is constituted so that the airbag is opened through a slide-type hinge when the airbag for an occupant provided on a front passenger seat is deployed and opened, secures the smooth opening of the airbag, reduces the weight of the hinge and the airbag door, and reduce the space occupied by the hinge so that the occupant is not damaged by the deployment of the airbag. <P>SOLUTION: The airbag door opening structure of an automobile comprises the airbag door enclosed by a recessed groove formed on an instrument panel, a chute for mounting the airbag mounted to the inside of the instrument panel, and the hinge whose one end is fixed between the instrument panel and the chute, and the other end is slidably inserted between the airbag door and a door reinforcement plate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
