PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems and the defects which in relation to conventional microcapsules, a gelatine microcapsule is considered to be low in water resistance and long term stability, a melamine capsule is considered to be toxic because of emission of formaldehyde although it is excellent in water resistance and strength and a urethane microcapsule has a disadvantage of leakage of a core substance at an elevated temperature because the density of the wall is low although it is excellent in water resistance or the like . SOLUTION: THe microcapsule is prepared by emulsifying the core substance with polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) containing a thiol (SH) group without using a surfactant and causing a reaction with a polymerization initiator to generate a free radical on the PVA covering the surface of the core substance. The radical polymerization monomer can be easily polymerized in a high efficiency on the PVA covering the core substance using the generated free radical as the base point of reaction.
