PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of easily setting a radiating direction of radiation heating regardless of the positions of inhabitants and a change in the number of persons in a room. SOLUTION: This air conditioner is provided with a radiation heating means 2 for warming people with radiant heat; a radiation output control means 10 for controlling the output of the radiation heating means 2; a radiating direction moving means 3 for changing the radiating direction of the radiation heating means 2; a radiating direction setting means 11 for setting the radiating direction of the radiation heating means 2; a radiating direction storage means 13 for storing at least one of set radiating directions; and a radiating direction selecting means 14 for selecting the desired radiating direction out of the stored radiating directions. The radiating direction moving means 3 is constituted to control the radiation heating means 2 to have the radiating direction selected by the radiating direction selecting means 14. The inhabitant thereby has only to select the desired radiating direction by the radiating direction selecting means without needing to adjust the radiating direction from the beginning.
