PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood component collecting apparatus for collecting blood component with high quality by suppressing minute hemolysis (destruction of red blood cells), etc., occurring in a centrifuge. SOLUTION: The blood component collecting apparatus 1 has a blood component collecting circuit 2. The circuit 2 comprises: the centrifuge 20; a first line 21 having a blood collecting needle 29; a second line 22; a third line 23 having a needle 23d for connecting an anticoagulant vessel; a plasma collection bag 25; an air bag 27b; an intermediate bag 27a; a thrombocyte collection bag 26; and a bag 28. When blood substantially is not present in a blood storage space 146 or when the amount of the blood in the blood storage space 146 is lower than a prescribed amount, when performing centrifugal separation of the blood containing an anticoagulant, the apparatus 1 performs a blood guide operation to guide the prescribed amount of blood containing the anticoagulant into the blood storage space 146 in advance of starting the rotation of a rotor 142.
