PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize strong tip binding force and high repetitive working accuracy in a throw-away drill removably fitted with a throw-away tip having a rotating shaft in common to a holder. SOLUTION: In this throw-away drill, a substantially plate-like throw-away tip 3 is held and fixed to the forward end groove part of the holder 4. The throw-away tip 3 is provided with a positioning and fixing recessed part 5 including a cutting blade 2 at the forward end, a rotation passive wall surface 6 at the main side part, and a holding surface 7 at the inner wall of the back central part. The holder 4 is provided with a rotation transmitting wall surface 12 at the inner wall of the forward end groove part, a positioning and fixing projected part 8 having a held surface 11 on the side wall thereof at the center of the base of the forward end groove part, and a slit 10 formed to cross between flutes 9 in the positioning and fixing projected part 8.
