PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network system wherein costs of products are low and capable of switching ring systems in a fast time on the occurrence of a failure in a different ring network. SOLUTION: The network system is provided with a master connection apparatus 3 and a slave connection apparatus 4 for forming inter-ring connection of both rings at different positions. Switching HUB apparatuses 20, 26 recognize that they are in normal operations with each other, include a transmission section for transmitting normality information to each ring network when the normal operations are recognized, and bring the inter-ring connection of the master connection apparatus into a blocking state when the normal operations are not recognized, and switching HUB means 22, 28 block the inter-ring connection of the slave connection apparatus, release the blocking state when no normality information is received, and flash switching information stored in each switching HUB apparatus.
