PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for assembling a composite structure formed by positioning a second member to a first member by a positioning member, ensuring positioning performance by the positioning member. SOLUTION: This method for assembling the composite structure includes a preparation step for preparing the first members 12, 13 having a passing hole 21, the second member 14 having a taper hole 22, and the cylindrical positioning member 30 having at its end an abutting part 31 having a smaller diameter than the maximum diameter of the taper hole 22, a joining step for confronting the opening 210 of the passing hole 21 with the maximum diameter opening 220 of the taper hole 22 by joining the first members 12, 13 and the second member 14 together, and an insertion step for abutting the abutting part 31 or the inner surface part 222 directed in a predetermined direction Y of the inner surface of the taper hole 22 by sequentially inserting the positioning member 30 into the passing hole 21 and the taper hole 22.
