PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a detergent wax agent enabling wax finish of an article surface to be effectively carried out while saving labor, and free from a chemically synthesized material such as a surfactant which can be a factor for damaging the health of a human body. SOLUTION: The detergent wax agent contains an electrolytic detergent liquid obtained by electrolyzing an aqueous solution containing at least one of a carbonate and bicarbonate of an alkali metal, and a wax agent consisting essentially of a natural wax. When the detergent wax agent is coated on the surface of a detergent object, the electrolytic detergent liquid penetrates into the surface of the detergent object before the penetration of the wax agent, and removes a staining material on the surface of the detergent object by adsorbing on the staining material. The detergent wax agent can also prevent the attachment of the staining material by preventing the electric charge on the surface of the detergent object, and provides a wax-finished effect by the adhesion of the wax agent contained in the detergent wax agent to the surface of the detergent object cleaned by the electrolytic detergent liquid.
