PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that a step formed between the bottom wall of a hollow portion of a center pillar of a door flame and the upper edge of a door trim shows a poor appearance, and that an unfavorable triangular space is formed in a contact portion of a weather strip of a column in the vehicle side and the bottom wall when the door closes. SOLUTION: The hollow portion (24) of the center pillar (6) of the door flame (2) is formed by side walls (26, 26) facing each other and the bottom wall (27), and a stepped portion (29) is formed to the lower section of the bottom wall (27). When a door trim (14) is attached to the door (1), the stepped portion (29) sets the bottom wall (27) and the door trim (14) flush with each other, which improves an appearance. The center pillar (6) consists of two members which are an outer member (23) formed by roll-forming, and an inner member (25) formed by press-forming, and the stepped portion (29) is formed at the hollow portion (24) of the inner member (25).
