PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface processing method of an aerated lightweight concrete (ALC) panel, for example, applied to an existing building as an outer wall material, capable of applying novel emboss processing full of variety not performed heretofore, easy to process and not causing the occurrence of dust or the like at the time of processing, and a surface processing apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: The surface processing method of the ALC panel is characterized by bringing a rotary processing device 10 into contact with the surface of the non-aged ALC panel P to apply emboss processing thereto and ageing the panel with steam to cure the same. The surface processing apparatus of the ALC panel is constituted in order to apply emboss processing to the surface of the non-aged ALC panel P and equipped with the rotary processing device 10, a drive source 12 such as a motor or the like for rotationally driving the rotary processing device 10 at a predetermined speed and a means for relatively moving the processing device with respect to the ALC panel.
