PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a booklet margin cutter with a simple composition and a simple structure capable of cutting at an accurate position without requiring either moving for positioning a heavy load or clamping a booklet, reducing cost of the device, and eliminating defects of cutting booklets. SOLUTION: The cutter comprises a head/tail margin cutter 100 formed separately from a fore-edge margin cutting means. The head/tail margin cutter 100 comprises a head side margin cutting part 110 and a tail side margin cutting part 130. The head side margin cutting part 110 contacts and stops a booklet introduced from the upstream side and conveyed to the direction in parallel with a side of its folding line at its head side in the conveying direction, cuts its head margin, and conveys the booklet downstream. The tail side margin cutting part 130 arranged downstream of the head side margin cutting part 110 contacts and stops the booklet conveyed from the head side margin cutting part 110 for positioning at its head side in the conveying direction so as to cut its tail margin in the conveying direction.
