PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen separating membrane apparatus the structure of which is simplified and the size of which is made small. SOLUTION: This hydrogen separating membrane apparatus is provided with: a hydrogen separating membrane 4 formed by coating the surface of a porous body 1 with a metal having the ability to separate hydrogen; an introduction chamber 31 for introducing a hydrogen-enriched gas; a discharge chamber 32 for discharging an impermeable gas in the hydrogen-enriched gas which does not permeate through the hydrogen separating membrane 4 and; a permeated hydrogen chamber 33 for discharging a hydrogen gas in the hydrogen-enriched gas which permeates through the hydrogen separating membrane 4. The hydrogen separating membrane 4 is formed on the whole surface of the porous body 1 to be exposed to the hydrogen-enriched gas. The permeated hydrogen chamber 33 is formed by using the end face 3a of a flange 3 and a sealing member (a hermetically sealing means) 41 for hermetically shutting off the permeated hydrogen chamber 33 from the introduction chamber 31 and the discharge chamber 32 is arranged between the flange 3 and a casing 11, so that the hydrogen gas permeating through the hydrogen separating membrane 4 is discharged to the permeated hydrogen chamber 33 from the end face 3a of the flange 3.
