A feeding system for plastic welding material has an electric drive motor (6) and a hot air generator has a fan (14) whose suction side (F) connects with a suction air channel. During operation of the equipment suction side air flowing through the suction channel flows past at least one component of the equipment which becomes heated during welding. One component which is cooled is the drive motor (6) for feeding plastic welding material. The motor is in a housing (8) with air inlets and outlets and suction air for the fan (14) flows past the drive motor. Another component which can be cooled is an electronic component such as a semi-conductor for switching heating on and off and/or controling temperature of the heating system and/or a frequency transverter or a drive motor speed controler. Another component which can be cooled is a cooling member on which electronic components are mounted. In the latter case the cooling member has projections around which suction side air flows. The cooling member may form a section of the suction channel and is located directly on the suction side of the fan. A drive motor (16) for the fan is positioned in the suction channel. Location of the radial type fan is inside a handgrip (9) for the equipment, the fan axis being transverse to the long axis of the welding equipment. |
