<p>The present invention provides an ecdysteroid derivative in which a fluorescent moiety is attached to an ecdysteroid moiety by derivatisation of a hydroxyl group on the alkyl side chain of the ecdysteroid moiety. The derivative is capable of binding to an ecdysone receptor or ligand binding domain thereof and can be used in assays.</p>
