OPTICAL RECORDING MEDIUM AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF OPTICAL RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium wherein surface wobbling is reduced in high rotation and which has high reliability of recording and/or reproduction of an information signal.

SOLUTION: The optical recording medium 10 includes a plane ring-shaped substrate 1 in which a center hole 2 is opened at the center thereof, a recording and reproducing function layer 5 and a cover layer 3 each having an outer diameter approximately equal to that of the substrate 1 and an inner diameter larger than an outer diameter of the center hole 2 and stacked on the substrate, and as a separate entity from the cover layer 3, a clamp portion 4 for holding and fixing the substrate 1 which has an outer diameter smaller than inner diameters of the recording and reproducing function layer 5 and the cover layer 3, and is provided around the center hole 2 in a region where the cover layer 3 is not formed.
