<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber laser apparatus with which the laser beam power is variable and the varied laser beam power is kept constant. <P>SOLUTION: The fiber laser apparatus has: a fiber laser 1 which generates a laser beam; an optical fiber 2 to which the laser beam propagates from the fiber laser 1; and a bending means 3 which bends the optical fiber 2. The emitted laser beam power is variable by bending the optical fiber with the bending means to an allowable bending radius or smaller (a minimum bending radius at which the propagating light does not leak). Further, the emitting end of the fiber laser and the incident end of the optical fiber are fused or connected with a connector, thus, the laser beam power is stabilized by making the laser beam unpropagate in the air. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
