PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the slipping of a wheel with high responsiveness without depending on an engine, and to inhibit the worsening of exhaust. SOLUTION: This automobile has a gear-type transmission having a first torque transmitting passage between input and output shafts formed by engagement clutches 19, 20, 21, and a second torque transmitting passage between input and output shafts formed by transmitted torque variable devices 203, 204, and actuators 27, 205 for selecting the torque transmitting passage. In this automobile, the actuators 27, 205 are controlled to transmit at least a part of the torque transmitted through the first torque transmitting passage, through the second torque transmitting passage, when the wheel is slipped during the traveling applying the first torque transmitting passage.
