摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for surface treatment of metallic sheet materials for friction stir joining which prevents occurrence of corrosion by infiltration of moisture into the joining part after joining when aluminum etc., are subjected to superposition joining by a friction stir joining method. SOLUTION: In the aluminum sheet material to be subjected to superposition friction stir joining, a primer in which aluminum having high thermal conductivity in the form of powder or flake is applied on the surface of an anodically oxidized film formed on the surface of the aluminum sheet material, without removing the anodically oxidized film. When the aluminum subjected to the surface treatment in such a manner and is subjected to friction stir joining, the primer is melted by friction heat and flows out to fill the gap in the superposed parts and therefore the infiltration of the moisture is no longer caused.
